Kim Tae-hee Husband and Children

Kim Tae and Korean songwriter Jung Ji-Hoon (Rain) are happily wed. As per the sources, the two first connected while working on the creation of a TV commercial in 2011. However, they did start dating in 2012.

The couple announced their plan to be married five years into their relationship. Additionally, on January 19, 2017, the couple exchanged their vows in a Catholic church in Seoul.

Early Career

Kim Tae-hee’s acting debut after starting her modeling career in the late 1990s, her debut film was Last Present acting the role of Young Park.

A marketing manager approached Kim in 2000 when she was riding the subway with an offer to work as a model. Before making her acting debut in the 2001 melodrama Last Present, Kim had roles in print and television advertisements.

Television work

She appeared in the sitcom Let’s Go and the short film Living in New Town in 2002. In 2003, she appeared in Screen and A Problem at My Younger Brother’s House.

In the popular SBS TV series Stairway to Heaven, Kim played the nasty stepsister, and she shot to fame in 2003. Beginning in 2004, Kim was cast in leading roles in her subsequent ventures, such as the SBS college romance Love Story in Harvard and the spooky KBS serial Forbidden Love. The latter received consistent national viewing throughout its run, reaching a peak viewer rate of 20 percent, and earned Kim the Baeksang Arts Awards’ Most Popular Actress prize in the TV category. Kim’s fame in Japan was apparently increased by Love Story in Harvard, which was reportedly well-liked by Japanese viewers.

Kim rose to prominence as one of the most sought-after faces in the TV advertising industry as a result of the huge success of Stairway to Heaven and Love Story at Harvard.

She was given the moniker “CF Queen” after being chosen by Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation as the best advertising model of the year in 2008. It was one of the most costly Korean dramas ever made, with an average audience rating of 30%, and it was a commercial and critical triumph. It was Kim’s first acting prize, excluding newcomer and popularity honors, when she won the Excellence prize in a Mid-Length Drama at the KBS Drama honors.

In January 2010, Kim joined Lua Entertainment, a company started by her brother-in-law, after leaving her previous agency Namoo Actors. In the sports movie Grand Prix the same year, she also portrayed a horse jockey with championship aspirations.

Kim received rave acclaim for her performance in the 2011 romantic comedy series My Princess, in which she played a common college student who learns she is Korean royalty. Later on in the same year, in the Japanese television drama Boku to Celebrity no 99 Nichi, she played the lead role of a Korean Wave celebrity who meets a regular Japanese bodyguard and is thereafter irrevocably in love with him. Kim became well-known in Japan because of the Fuji TV drama, which ran in the country from October to December 2011 and averaged 9 to 10% viewing ratings. After her 2005 travel to Switzerland as a goodwill ambassador, Kim received criticism from some Japanese internet users for purportedly endorsing South Korea’s claim in the Liancourt Rocks conflict.

Kim played the notorious royal concubine Hui-bin Jang in her debut historical drama, Jang Ok-Jung, Living by Love, released in 2013. Then, in the Chinese television drama Saint Wang Xizh, she played the wife of renowned Chinese calligraphy Wang Xizhi in another historical role.
